Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2020, Luxembourg's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 9.9% compared to 2019, reaching 24.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 89.5%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.1% (from 21.1% in 2015).
