Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2017, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 20.7% compared to 2016, reaching 8.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 31.1%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 72.9% (from 4.7% in 2012).
