Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2016, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 7.7% compared to 2015, reaching 6.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 30.2%.

Luxembourg ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 63.8% (from 4.1% in 2011).
