At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.2% compared to 2009, reaching 22.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.1%.

Malta ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 25.6% (from 17.6% in 2005).
