At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2013, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 13.9% compared to 2012, reaching 14.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.3%.

Malta ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 38.7% (from 24.3% in 2008).
