Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2011, Malta's population change increased by 6.4% compared to 2010, reaching 10.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.1.

Malta ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.5% (from 9.3 in 2006).
