Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1969, Malta's population change increased by 5.3% compared to 1968, reaching 9.9.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.7.

Malta ranks 16th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 15.1% (from 8.6 in 1964).
