Population structure indicators at national level

In 2003, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.1% compared to 2002, reaching 37.4.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 39.0.

Malta ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.8% (from 35.7 in 1998).
