Population structure indicators at national level

In 2002, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.8% compared to 2001, reaching 37.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 38.7.

Malta ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 35.4 in 1997).
