Population structure indicators at national level

In 2017, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.5% compared to 2016, reaching 40.6.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 43.2.

Malta ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.5% (from 40.4 in 2012).
