Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2017, Malta's main indicators increased by 19.8% compared to 2016, reaching 6.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 31.1%.

Malta ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 513.9% (from 1.1% in 2012).
