Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2018, Malta's main indicators increased by 12.5% compared to 2017, reaching 7.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 32.1%.

Malta ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 390.3% (from 1.6% in 2013).
