Income inequality for older people - EU-SILC survey

In 2024, Malta's income inequality for older people increased by 3.7% compared to 2023, reaching 8.90.

Malta accounts for 108.3% of the EU-27 total of 8.22.

Malta ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 43.1% (from 6.22 in 2019).
