At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2014, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.3% compared to 2013, reaching 19.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.3%.

Portugal ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.9% (from 17.9% in 2009).
