At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.2% compared to 2009, reaching 22.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.1%.

Portugal ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.5% (from 23.7% in 2005).
