At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2010, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.5% compared to 2009, reaching 21.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.3%.

Portugal ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 23.9% (from 27.6% in 2005).
