At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2014, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.0% compared to 2013, reaching 20.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.7%.

Portugal ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.7% (from 18.4% in 2009).
