At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2017, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.6% compared to 2016, reaching 18.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Portugal ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.7% (from 18.2% in 2012).
