Population structure indicators at national level

In 2016, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.1% compared to 2015, reaching 44.1.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 43.0.

Portugal ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.8% (from 41.7 in 2011).
