Population structure indicators at national level

In 2016, Bulgaria's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.9% compared to 2015, reaching 44.6.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 43.0.

Bulgaria ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.9% (from 42.5 in 2011).
