Population structure indicators at national level

In 2002, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.1% compared to 2001, reaching 27.2.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 26.3.

Portugal ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.7% (from 25.5 in 1997).
