Main national accounts tax aggregates

In 2006, Portugal's main national accounts tax aggregates increased by 1.5% compared to 2005, reaching 34.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 39.8%.

Portugal ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.1% (from 33.1% in 2001).
