Main national accounts tax aggregates

In 2021, Portugal's main national accounts tax aggregates decreased by 0.3% compared to 2020, reaching 37.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 41.0%.

Portugal ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.9% (from 36.5% in 2016).
