In 2024, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate of households without dependent children by work intensity increased by 2.4% compared to 2023, reaching 55.1.

Portugal accounts for 94.8% of the EU-27 total of 58.1.

Portugal ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.3% (from 56.4 in 2019).
