In 2013, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.7% compared to 2012, reaching 14.5%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.3%.
Romania ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 45.3% (from 26.5% in 2008).
