At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 10.1% compared to 2018, reaching 25.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.0%.

Romania ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 59.9% (from 15.7% in 2014).
