At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2020, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.4% compared to 2019, reaching 24.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.0%.

Romania ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 26.3% (from 19.4% in 2015).
