At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2018, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 14.0% compared to 2017, reaching 22.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Romania ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 57.2% (from 14.5% in 2013).
