At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 0.5% compared to 2018, reaching 19.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.9%.

Italy ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.9% (from 18.4% in 2014).
