Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2007, Romania's population change decreased by 1.0% compared to 2006, reaching 10.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.4.

Romania ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.2% (from 9.7 in 2002).
