Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2008, Romania's population change increased by 4.9% compared to 2007, reaching 10.8.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 10.6.

Romania ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.2% (from 9.8 in 2003).
