Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1975, Romania's population change increased by 2.2% compared to 1974, reaching 9.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.5.

Romania ranks 21st out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.1% (from 9.5 in 1970).
