Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1977, Romania's population change increased by 1.1% compared to 1976, reaching 9.6.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.2.

Romania ranks 18th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.3% (from 9.2 in 1972).
