Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1980, Romania's population change increased by 6.1% compared to 1979, reaching 10.4.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.5.

Romania ranks 14th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.8% (from 9.3 in 1975).
