Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1983, Romania's population change increased by 4.0% compared to 1982, reaching 10.4.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.5.

Romania ranks 15th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.2% (from 9.7 in 1978).
