Population structure indicators at national level

In 2002, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.7% compared to 2001, reaching 35.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 38.7.

Romania ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.3% (from 34.2 in 1997).
