Population structure indicators at national level

In 2019, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.0% compared to 2018, reaching 42.5.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 43.7.

Romania ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.2% (from 40.8 in 2014).
