Population structure indicators at national level

In 2023, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.2% compared to 2022, reaching 43.6.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 44.5.

Romania ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.6% (from 42.1 in 2018).
