Population structure indicators at national level

In 2022, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.2% compared to 2021, reaching 43.5.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 44.4.

Romania ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.1% (from 41.8 in 2017).
