Population structure indicators at national level

In 2003, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.3% compared to 2002, reaching 23.2.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 26.6.

Romania ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.4% (from 21.2 in 1998).
