Population structure indicators at national level

In 2002, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 4.1% compared to 2001, reaching 22.9.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 26.3.

Romania ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.1% (from 20.8 in 1997).
