Population structure indicators at national level

In 2025, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.2% compared to 2024, reaching 34.7.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.7.

Romania ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.2% (from 31.5 in 2020).
