Population structure indicators at national level

In 2024, Romania's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.8% compared to 2023, reaching 34.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.0.

Romania ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.1% (from 30.6 in 2019).
