Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2018, Romania's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 13.1% compared to 2017, reaching 5.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.4%.

Romania ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 41.1% (from 9.0% in 2013).
