Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2020, Romania's unemployment by sex and age increased by 24.5% compared to 2019, reaching 6.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Romania ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 27.4% (from 8.4% in 2015).
