In 2021, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.5% compared to 2020, reaching 17.6%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.6%.
Slovakia ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 15.4% (from 20.8% in 2016).
