At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 7.3% compared to 2023, reaching 8.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Slovakia ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.3% (from 8.7% in 2019).
