At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2024, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.1% compared to 2023, reaching 16.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Austria ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.3% (from 13.9% in 2019).
