In 2011, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.4% compared to 2010, reaching 13.1%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.6%.
Slovakia ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.9% (from 11.5% in 2006).
