At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Slovakia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.2% compared to 2023, reaching 14.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.9%.

Slovakia ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 22.3% (from 12.1% in 2019).
